Carrier Global announced that its venture arm, Carrier Ventures, has created a strategic investment in UK-based startup Heat Geek, a company focapplyd on accelerating residential heat pump adoption across Europe through digital tools and installer training.
Heat Geek operates a platform that connects homeowners with certified installers and applys AI-powered tools to design and install optimized heat pump systems. The platform supports the full process, including system design, quoting, financing, grants, and installation, aiming to simplify adoption for homeowners transitioning from traditional gas boilers to electric heat pumps.
The investment aligns with Carrier’s broader strategy to expand electrified heating solutions across Europe. By supporting Heat Geek, Carrier aims to strengthen the installer ecosystem, which is seen as a key bottleneck in scaling heat pump adoption. The partnership also provides Carrier with access to Heat Geek’s certified training programs, assisting to grow a skilled installer network across the UK and Europe.
As demand for energy-efficient and low-carbon heating solutions increases, particularly in markets like the UK, the collaboration is expected to improve access to qualified installers and enhance system design standards. Carrier emphasized that building a robust professional ecosystem is critical to accelerating the transition to electrified heating.
Heat Geek plans to apply the investment to expand its platform, continue developing its training programs, and scale its presence across Europe.
