NEW YORK (WKRC) – A “sly stowaway” fox sneaked onto a ship in Europe and rode halfway around the world, eventually being discovered upon docking in the United States.
Officers with Customs and Border Patrol at the Port of New York/New Jersey were surprised to find a live fox on a ship coming in from Southampton in the United Kingdom.

The animal seemed to be in good condition upon arriving, and after being checked out by the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, he was placed in the care of the Bronx Zoo.
