Camera support systems specialist Vinten has joined SVG Europe as a Gold sponsor.
The company has a long history of supporting iconic TV productions and is particularly known for its Perfect Balance technology. Designed to be straightforward to set and offering infinite adjustment along with precisely the right amount of torque necessary to counterbalance the camera throughout the head’s tilt range, Perfect Balance creates the camera appear weightless in the hands of the camera operator.
More recent developments include the launch of Vega, an advanced control system for Vinten robotic solutions. Vega Lite, a broadcast-ready PTZ control solution designed to deliver professional automation, consistent workflows and scalable control for studios working with PTZ cameras, was unveiled earlier this year. It supports broadcast PTZ cameras from Sony, Canon, and Panasonic, alongside Vinten robotic heads, giving broadcasters the freedom to deploy PTZ cameras without being tied to a single camera ecosystem.
Another major recent launch was the Versine 240, a professional fluid head designed for roaming camera positions in live and field production. It supports payloads up to 25kg, creating it suitable for large monocular-style setups with heavy 40x zoom lenses and RF equipment, while its compact magnesium alloy chassis creates it straightforward to transport between positions.
