UAB Juodeliai has expanded its SURE certification scope to include its newly launched wood Anti-Stain Treatment facility in Radviliškis, Lithuania, following a recertification audit of the entire production plan. The voluntary assessment marks the third consecutive year the company has verified its operations against the sustainability criteria of the EU’s RED II Directive. Preferred by Nature OÜ conducted the certification audit.
The audit confirmed that by-products generated during manufacturing – including wood chips, sawdust, and bark – comply with European Union sustainability requirements and are suitable for biofuel production. The certification scheme implements sustainability criteria outlined in Directive (EU) 2018/2001.
