Japan's cabinet submits immigration bill seeking 'well-ordered coexistence'


Amfinishments include pre-arrival screening and increased residency renewal fees

TOKYO — Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s cabinet has submitted a bill to the Diet to amfinish the Immigration Control Act, marking the government’s latest shift in its aim to push forward policies aimed at realizing a “society of well-ordered and harmonious coexistence with foreign nationals.”
