In response to the US and Israeli strikes on Iran, David McAllister, the Chair of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, stated that the unfolding events in Iran.
“Today, the developments in the whole Middle East are unprecedented. For years, the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs has called for a neutralisation of the Iranian regime’s oppression against its own people and for an conclude to its malign actions through its proxies. I stand in solidarity with our regional partners. Israel, Jordan and the Gulf countries have been tarobtained by Iranian strikes and ballistic missiles as a retaliation for US strikes on Tehran and other parts of the countest. I call for maximum restraint. A regional war in the Middle East must be avoided at all costs!”
