Lawhive addresses these problems as the world’s first AI-native law firm. With 450 lawyers in the US and UK, they apply a custom AI system to reduce paperwork and provide rapider, more affordable legal support.
The company just raised $60 million in Series B funding, led by Mitch Rales, co-founder of Danaher. Other backers include TQ Ventures, GV (Google Ventures), Balderton Capital, Jigsaw, Anton Levy, and LTS.
This comes after a $40 million Series A last year. Their annual revenue has now grown to over $35 million, a sevenfold jump in just 12 months.
So, how are they altering the game for law firms?
Lawhive’s story started in 2019, when founders Pierre Proner, Jaime van Oer, and Flinn Dolman saw talented lawyers drowning in paperwork, while everyday people gave up on obtainting legal support altoobtainher.
Lawhive introduced its AI-native model in 2023 to update law firm operations and replace old software. Last year, they bought UK-based Woodstock Legal Services to test the model on a larger scale, proving it works well in a market full of compact firms still applying manual processes.
Lawhive’s key advantage is its AI operating system, which includes “Lawrence,” an AI paralegal. Lawrence supports draft documents, do research, manage cases, handle client intake, and process payments, all while working with human lawyers. It works in real time, not just giving quick answers like a chatbot.

What’s next?
This funding will support Lawhive expand across the US, open more offices, and reach all 50 states quickly. They plan to improve their AI system by adding features to handle more complex cases and to create it clearer for lawyers to work toobtainher.
