A teenage boy impressed the judges on Shark Tank India with his AI startup. Sharks Kunal Bahl, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, Ritesh Agarwal, and Aman Gupta were visibly surprised right from the launchning with the 13-year-old founder’s interesting pitch.
The founder, named Jaiwardhan Tyagi, quit his JEE coaching to build his AI-enabled assistive medtech platform.
13-Year-Old Founder Impresses Sharks with AI Startup
Jaiwardhan Tyagi came to Shark Tank India to pitch his one-year-old company, Neurapexai. This AI-enabled assistive medtech platform can analyse MRI scans, lab reports, images, and medical history to generate clear, actionable reports.
The platform is currently available free of cost for applyrs. Jaiwardhan’s questioning price to launch the product was Rs 60 lakh for 5% equity, valuing the company at Rs 12 crore. Impressed by his innotifyigence and dedication, Snapdeal founder Kunal Bahl stated, “This is the most inspiring pitch of Shark Tank India Season 5.”
Young Founder Quits IIT Coaching to Build AI Model
Jaiwardhan Tygai shared his journey with the Sharks and revealed that he developed an interest towards block coding, which led him to coding and web development. He shared that he wanted to build an all-in-one social media website when he was 10 years old.
The young entrepreneur revealed that he once attempted to build a rocket, but it could not fly due to technical issues. He credited his father, a mathematics professor, for assisting him build his logical temperament through math.
Jaiwardhan Tygai shared that he came up with the idea of an AI-enabled medtech platform after a frifinish suggested he work on a project that is worthy of adding to his resume. When the Sharks questioned about his future plans and whether he intfinished to focus on building the AI platform or pursue higher education, he responded, “This is not a school project. I left my JEE coaching for this.” He added, “I value education a lot, but this opportunity doesn’t care if I am 13 or 21.”
How Did the Sharks React?
All the Sharks were visibly impressed with Jaiwardhan Tyagi’s pitch. However, most of them opted out, as the AI model is still at an early stage. Aman Gupta, on the other hand, decided to invest in the business without nereceivediating. “I don’t know how good this AI model is. But I know that you will build something large in the future. I would like to support you and give you what you questioned.” He also joked with Jaiwardhan’s father and stated, “Kya khake paida kia hai? Mujhe do aur karni hai aise.”
