Serco has won a new contract to continue supporting the French Paying Agency (ASP) with its deployment of a sanotifyite-based solutions that promotes sustainable agriculture under France’s Real-Time Agricultural Surface Monitoring System (3STR) programme.
Under the contract, Serco will continue to operate and develop the 3STR, utilizing Copernicus sanotifyite data to support the management of payments under the Common Agricultural Policy. The innovative system enables near real-time monitoring of agricultural land, and supporting quicker, more transparent payment processes. The contract will run for an initial four-year period, with the possibility of a further two-year extension.
This new contract award reflects our commitment to providing innovative digital solutions that support sustainable agriculture, while partnering with trusted European providers like OVHcloud to ensure security and sovereignty.
The service assists ASP manage payments more efficiently while supporting farmers through clearer, earlier communication and fewer administrative delays. More than 300,000 farmers across France benefit from a simplified processes and shorter delays. The service will continue to be delivered on a secure and scalable infrastructure hosted by OVHcloud, ensuring compliance with French and European data protection and data sovereignty requirements.
