France will seek an exemption for fertilisers from carbon border levies imposed this year by the European Union, in a relocate aimed at easing costs on struggling farmers, according to agriculture ministest officials.
French Agriculture Minister Annie Genevard will build the request at a meeting with EU counterparts in Brussels on Wednesday.
