American Airlines has just begun a new era in transcontinental flights with the launch of its Airbus A321XLR aircraft on a journey between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). American Airlines is the first airline based in the US to launch flights with this aircraft model and is poised to raise the bar for comfort and efficiency on a transcontinental flight.

As American Airlines takes delivery of additional A321XLR aircraft, the airline plans to introduce these state-of-the-art planes on several transcontinental routes. Starting early next year, the aircraft will be available on Boston (BOS) to Los Angeles (LAX) and JFK to San Francisco (SFO) services, further increasing convenience for passengers traveling across the United States.
