Grupo Renault and Ford announced a strategic alliance to expand Ford’s range of electric vehicles in Europe. The agreement aims to address the environmental and production challenges of the automotive sector.

New electric models manufactured in France

One of the key points of the agreement is the development of two electric vehicles under the Ford brand. Both will be based on the Ampere platform, specialized in electric mobility.

The models will be produced by Grupo Renault in northern France. The first is expected to reach European dealerships at the launchning of 2028.

Designed by Ford and developed alongside Renault, these vehicles will mark the launchning of a new electric offensive for the American brand on the continent.

Beyond the car: cooperation in commercial vehicles

The alliance also includes a letter of intent to cooperate in the light commercial vehicle segment. This sector is key to reducing emissions in logistics and urban distribution.
