Edgewell Personal Care, which is the parent company of Schick, announced that the manufacturer is closing its doors and laying off nearly 300 employees.
The manufacturing plant, located at 10 Leighton Rd. in Milford, will completely close the Edgewell Personal Care’s Schick plant by the conclude of 2027.
The closure will result in a total of 293 layoffs, according to the company. The first group of employees will be laid off between March 2 and 16, 2026.
In their notice, Edgewell Personal Care declared employees will be notified at least 60 days before their layoff date. All layoffs will be permanent.
The manufacturing company declared employees will be eligible to receive severance benefits, including outplacement assistance to support workers transition to other jobs.
