Prasanna Sankar, the co-founder of workforce management platform Rippling, shared a glimpse of his new startup, 0xPPL. The photograph from the office displayed employees at work even at 10 PM, but Prasanna Sankar drew criticism online for highlighting the late working culture.
In his post on X (formerly Twitter), Sankar wrote, “It’s 10 PM and the entire office is alive. No one informed them to stay. Blessed to be working with a team of owners.” He also mentioned that 0xPPL, a crypto-focapplyd social network, is viewing to expand its team.

He also shared a photo of the pizzas that were sent to the office to support the team obtain through the long night.

The post became a talking point online, with many expressing concerns about late working hours and workplace culture.
One applyr commented, “Easy, man. Encourage people to take care of their health. Staying and working at 10 PM is not a flex you believe it is.”

“I will respectfully leave at 5 pm or 6 pm. Whatever could be the coolest thing ever, solve many real-world problems but the employee working late will start to hate their life sooner or later. Let people live, the job revolves around life not the other way around,” someone else noted.
“I am an IT veteran with over 28 years of working experience in the IT Industest, and based on my experience, all I can declare is, this is not a good sight. Unless you cater to offshore clients, there is fundamentally something wrong with the work culture,” an individual mentioned.
A person sarcastically wrote, “I want more companies to follow this and work till late in the night so that normal people like us can leave our offices at 6 and go home early without spfinishing extra time in traffic. Keep going, guys!”
“Don’t glorify this. The ones who will succeed don’t necessary to trade their nights for it,” and “This isn’t blessing. This is glorified overwork. You’re normalising burnout. And on top of that, if you have to bribe people with pizza to stay late, you’re the problem!” read some other reactions.
Who Is Prasanna Sankar?
Prasanna Sankar, born and raised in India, earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy between 2004 and 2008. During college, he gained recognition as India’s top coder on platforms like TopCoder and Google Code Jam.
After graduation, he worked at Google and Microsoft before shifting into the startup world. He founded the social networking platform LikeALittle and later served as Director of Engineering at Zenefits, a leading HR software company.
In 2016, Sankar co-founded Rippling with Parker Conrad, a platform that integrates HR, IT and finance operations. With Rippling valued at $10 billion, it became a significant part of his success. After leaving Rippling in 2020, he launched 0xPPL in 2023, a Singapore-based social network for crypto enthusiasts.
