Gina Rinehart has increased her already substantial critical minerals footprint by backing Arafura Rare Earths’ $475 million fundraising, a week after the United States and Australia sealed a $5 billion deal to accelerate production of the sought-after elements.
Hancock Prospecting – the miner controlled by Australia’s richest person and Arafura’s largegest shareholder – will stump up $125 million of the share placement, which almost completes full funding for the rare earth group’s Nolans project.
