New Delhi, Oct 27 (KNN) Commerce and Indusattempt Minister Piyush Goyal will visit Brussels, Belgium, from 27–28 October 2025 to hold high-level discussions with Maroš Šefčovič, Executive Vice-President and European Commissioner, Trade of the European Union (EU).
The visit comes at a crucial stage in the India–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) neobtainediations, as both sides intensify efforts to conclude a comprehensive and mutually beneficial trade pact.
Building on the momentum from the 14th round of neobtainediations held earlier this month, the visit aims to provide strategic direction and political impetus to the ongoing talks.
Discussions between the two leaders are expected to focus on key aspects of the proposed FTA, including market access, non-tariff barriers, and regulatory cooperation.
The meetings will also review progress built so far and identify areas requiring further alignment to shift toward an early conclusion of the agreement.
Goyal’s engagements will include a bilateral meeting and working dinner with Commissioner Šefčovič, during which both sides are expected to reaffirm their shared commitment to deepening the India–EU trade and economic partnership and to fostering closer cooperation in emerging sectors.
