SA’s Locstat Raises USD 2.3 M Pre-Series A To Expand AI Platform In Europe
South African AI startup Locstat has raised EUR 2.5 M (USD 2.3 M) in a pre-Series A round from Portugal Gateway Fund (PGF) and ANZA Capital to fuel expansion in the UK and EU, while reinforcing Africa as a key growth region.
Founded in 2016 by Ryno Goosen and team, Locstat provides a graph-powered AI and event processing platform that continuously analyses real-time and static data to unlock hidden insights and enable smarter decision-building.
The platform is already applyd across African financial services for fraud detection, anti-money laundering, customer journey mapping, and geo-spatial analytics—all in real time.
With proven success in high-volume African transactional environments, Locstat now aims to scale globally, expanding its European footprint and partner network.
