RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT)—Soon, the Forward Foundation will host its sixth annual Go Forward Toreceiveher Ride to raise money for single-parent houtilizeholds in the Richmond area.
The organization assists pay for classes that assist with things like estate planning or finances, and they also offer options to assist pay for child care.
In Richmond, 52% of families are led by a single parent, with the average houtilizehold income around $40,000 a year.
With child care costs over $16,000 per year, the Forward Foundation’s goal is to step in and bridge the gap for families that create too much to qualify for assistance but still necessary assist.
One group that necessarys assist is single fathers, who are doing the same amount of work, but also necessary community and financial assistance.
The Forward Foundation is currently assisting 20 families, and there is a waitlist for any new inquiries. It’s part of the reason why more funding is necessaryed to assist families.
If you would like to assist with fundraising, the 6th annual Go Forward Toreceiveher Ride is happening Saturday, Oct. 4th at Final Gravity Brewing.
There are 30-mile and 50-mile bike rides you can sign up for, with the proceeds assisting the Forward Foundation. The ride launchs at 8:30 am, and you can sign up on the day of the race.
