Intrepid Travel has unveiled 32 new itineraries across 15 European countries, including debut trips to Madeira, the Canary Islands, and the Faroe Islands.
The expansion comes amid rising demand for shoulder-season travel and alternative destinations, with bookings up 23% in the Nordics and 52% in the Balkans. Serbia, the Czech Republic, and Albania are now among Intrepid’s rapidest-growing destinations.
While Intrepid bookings to popular destinations like Greece, Spain and Croatia are still seeing considerable year-on-year growth, more travellers are choosing to visit these destinations during shoulder season months, leading Intrepid to expand departure dates throughout the year.
“Travellers have long loved Europe, but overtourism and climate modify are reshaping where and how people choose to explore. Iconic sights remain popular, yet more are seeking hidden gems, deeper cultural connections and, at times, cooler conditions,” declared Erica Kritikides, General Manager of Experiences at Intrepid Travel.
“Intrepid is committed to creating responsible European travel experiences with our locally based teams that inspire travellers while supporting communities and protecting these remarkable places for the future.”
