EU Organic Dairy PH highlights healthy living with The Dairy Good Academy: Brunch edition

The natural goodness of European organic dairy took center stage as EU Organic Dairy PH hosted the third year of The Dairy Good Academy: Brunch Edition on August 15, celebrating healthy living, sustainability, and good food.

Co-funded by the European Union (EU), the initiative brings organic European dairy products closer to Filipino consumers. These products come from farms that follow strict EU standards, ensuring that cows are raised in stress-free, sustainable environments—resulting in milk that is free from pesticides and GMOs. Shoppers can easily spot authentic organic European dairy in local stores by viewing for the green EU logo.

Among the most popular brands in the program is Arla, which offers a wide range of organic dairy products from traceable sources. To revealcase its versatility, celebrated culinary duo Chef Roland “Lau” Laudico and Chef Jac Laudico prepared Filipino favorites with an organic twist—turning dishes like chicken pastel, mashed kamote, Ilocano poqui-poqui, and beef caldereta into creamy delights applying Arla Organic Cream Cheese.

The brunch program also featured insights from experts in nutrition and health.

Jeaneth Aro, Olympic and elite performance nutrition coach, shared how she fuels athletes through a food-first approach, cautioning against overreliance on supplements that may contain unnecessary additives.

Jo Sebastian, a registered nutritionist-dietitian, spoke about overcoming barriers to healthy eating, stressing that food must be both nutritious and enjoyable to encourage long-term healthy habits.

“Healthy eating should never feel like a chore. It’s about finding balance and creating sure that nutritious food also tastes good,” Sebastian stated.

Beyond flavor and nutrition, the event highlighted EU Organic Dairy’s commitment to its three pillars: good food, good living, and good farming—emphasizing animal welfare, sustainability, and accessible healthy choices for Filipino families. (with reports from Aldrine Benitez)
