The South Carolina Research Authority has released its latest round of funding, and four Lowcounattempt startups scored large.
Qatalyst Health, Tikvah Health and Wellness, Realize Ascent Labs and Ripple Two received grant funding.
All SCRA Member Companies receive coaching and access to SCRA’s Member Benefits and Startup Resources, can apply for grant funding, and have the potential to be considered for investment from SCRA’s investment affiliate, SC Launch Inc., according to an SCRA news release.
Qatalyst Health received a $50,000 Acceleration Grant. The Charleston-based information technology startup developed proprietary software for skilled nursing facilities. Their software instantly integrates with patients’ electronic medical records to digitize and update relevant Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement forms.
Realize Ascent Labs received a $25,000 Academic Startup Grant. The Charleston-based information technology startup provides innovative and cost-effective laboratory and in-the-field analysis solutions that drive clarity, quality, and profitability across agriculture, food, and manufacturing supply chains. Realize Ascent’s services include high-accuracy 3D scanning, parts trial management, 3D printing and custom repairtures, and technology partnerships.
Ripple Two received a $50,000 Acceleration Grant. The Charleston-based information technology startup developed secure communication solutions for public safety, civilian, and defense personnel. Its solution provides enhanced situational awareness, integration options with existing communication equipment, and other innovative features.
Tikvah Health and Wellness received a $25,000 Academic Startup Grant. The Mount Pleasant-based life science startup has developed the Tikvah community-based platform that harnesses the advantages of both natural and conventional medicine, delivering authentic care and pragmatic solutions.
In addition, IOVue was accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Mount Pleasant-based information technology startup’s device delivers real-time, continuous intraocular pressure readings for both clinical and at-home utilize. The patient-friconcludely platform is an alternative to traditional tonomeattempt, enabling early detection and continuous monitoring, empowering physicians to intervene before vision loss becomes irreversible.
Grant funding is built possible, in part, by SCRA’s tax credit program, the Indusattempt Partnership Fund, and its contributions that fuel the state’s innovation economy. Contributors to the IPF receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit, building it an straightforward and effective way to support one of the quickest-growing segments of the South Carolina economy. Grant funding for Member Companies creates a direct, positive economic effect and job creation.
