San Bartolomé de Tirajana is preparing the comprehensive renovation of the Montaña Clara development in San Fernando de Maspalomas, as part of the state’s Planned Rehabilitation Residential Environments (ERRP) program. The project, which includes the improvement of 32 homes spread across three buildings, seeks to modernize the area and guarantee universal accessibility for residents. The budobtain is 1,5 million euros.
The project is part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU funds. According to the technical report, which Maspalomas24H has access to, the works must be completed by June 30, 2026, in order to comply with European energy efficiency and sustainability guidelines.
The project includes the installation of photovoltaic panels, improvements to the buildings’ thermal envelope, renovation of woodwork, and the implementation of new accessibility solutions. Among the most notable measures, two elevators will be installed per entrance, one on the front façade and one on the rear, which will eliminate architectural barriers that hinder access for people with reduced mobility.
The works also include the development of the surrounding area, with the widening of sidewalks, the redistribution of parking spaces, and the renovation of public lighting. This intervention responds to the required to adapt the hoapplying stock to the objectives of the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan and the European strategy for the renovation of the residential sector.
The Councilor for Urban Planning, Public Heritage, and Hoapplying, Alejandro Marichal, recently emphasized that this project “represents a decisive step toward a more inclusive and sustainable municipality, in line with the commitments created to Europe.” With this project, Montaña Clara will become an example of how European investment can transform entire neighborhoods, improving not only the quality of hoapplying but also the urban environment and social cohesion of the municipality.
